no i mean that on wednesday i won a game against hydra...e.g. i got a chance to play the machine...ill edit it to make it clearer...
Okay a few things:
First of all I didn't look past move 12 since it is the technichal part of the game (black has two pawns ahead).
4.Bc4 was a waste of time; the straightforward 4.Be2 was better.
The decisive error is your 9th move: 9.d4?; this is a sucide move. Not only Black already exerts pressure on d4 through his Bg7, but you don't have sufficient support for that pawn. Hence the result.
9.dxc might have been better followed by 10.Nc3 aimed at passing the pawn from e3 to e4
Originally posted by bobbob1056thno i think it would have been much more disconcerting to have been playing against a computer that was kicking my a$$ rather than having a human do it instead. it was much better just playing a man with a machine next to him. we talked afterwards and he was able to tell me where i went wrong. it wasn't annoying at all to have him there. he was a very nice swedish (i think) bloke, and i had a laugh with him at the beginning by asking wether "the computer was so advanced that it had a hand i should shake, or could i just use his" 😉
Fred, was it annoying to have that guy there making the computers moves... Would you have rather just played on a computer?
