I have been looking alot at th fried livr attack recently.
1. e4 e5
2. Nc3 Nf6
3. Bc5 Nc6
4.Ng5? d5
5. exd5 Nxd5
6. Nxf7! Kxf7
7. Qf3+ Ke6
8. Nc3 Nfe7
9. d5
Black cant take on d5 or Qd4+ wins
But what can you do vs 5... Na4!
Wouldnt this give black the game back with tempo? Is the fried liver attack an ok line to study? thanks
Lol....You have some serious notation errors. Note that Nfe7 isn't actually possible. In fact there is no knight on the f-file at all. It's just Ne7, since the N on d5 is pinned. Then d5 isn't legal, the move is d4. White has a strong attack after this move, and theory regards White's attack as enough comp. for the piece. Lastly, ..Na5 is the move you are talking about, and is the main line in the Two Knights Defense, Then I do believe the main line runs Bb5+ c6 dc bc, etc....There was a topic on the Fried Liver a little bit back. I encourage you to search for it and read that to avoid making people say the same thing over again.
Originally posted by RahimKAlthough 1...e6 is my current favored response to 1.e4, if I know my opponent is fond of the Fried Liver Attack, I play 1...e5. As black, I say to the Fried Liver Attack: "bring it on baby, I'm grilling onions!"
I don't know of many black players who would go into the fried liver attack with black in OTB. I know I don't.
