I was just analyzing a position on fritz when I found this amazing feature.
Was this a universal conspiracy to hide the coolest chess program feature ever made from me?
I love it!😵
So far, all I've done was put a PGN into the engine and click full analysis and then Ok. Is there anything about this full analysis thing that I should be aware of (besides not using it in game 🙂)?
Originally posted by ih8sensIn the dialog tell it to use a reference database and it will usually include lines from similar games in the db and give you the result of the game.

Originally posted by ih8sensYou get a pgn that starts off with your opening moves, then there will be variations from games in the database, folowed by the rest of your game with all of the comments, and suggestions for better lines that Fritz calculated including ??,!! etc.
what happens when the analysis is done?.. do you get a printout with all sorts of different options? or do you just get a pgn with 2 or 3 variants in it?
Can you set it to mark ??,?,?!, ! and, !!
Game 3449193
Ok, so I ran this game through the full analysis feature.
This is what I got, tell me if I did everything right.

I see nothing wrong with this analysis, yet, when I actually analyze a single position, I get moves suggested that never came up in the full analysis (such as move 11 where I played Bc3, crafty suggested Bg5 or Nxf6).
Am I doing everything right?

Read the T-Notes on the left hand side of that webpage:

That's how I learnt how to use all the fritz features.
I saw you Full Analysis. Looks alright but I don't see any fritz comments:
Get's the Bull of the ice, Hoping against hope, Bad is___, ___ is also hopeless etc...
Try changing the settings so it analyses longer and you will get a few more variations and fritz comments.
You can also go run infinite analysis and manually go through the game and see the computers evaluation.
Game-> Infinite analysis.
It's great for a position you want to analyse specifically and try out different variations.

Originally posted by ih8sensAh right. I tried Full analysis on your game with the Crafty engine, verbose annotations and a reference DB set, and I get the analysis plus some comments, and variations from real games. If I'd dialled up the calc time there would have been more analysis.
well.. my version of fritz has a crafty engine in it.
Looks a bit of a mess here but bear in mind it looks much better in Fritz

I went on the internet and saw that 'this is a bug with Fritz 10', but could not find the fix for it. Does anyone know where to d/l a patch for this problem?
