Game 3594606
I've played this game recently and it was fun. Some pyrotechnics flying over the board and then the dust settled and I lost.
On move 15 my move was Bxe4, but I considered Bxg7 so to deprive black from the dark squares in a situation were his king has castled to the fianchetoed side. What do you think would be the best move?
On move 21 i decided to sac a knight for an attack but later on I regreted that decision.
On my move 23 I was trying to set up a bait but he didn't take it.
And what about 29. Rf7 Qc8? I think my move was a strong one but his reply was even stronger. At least it caught off guard. I wasn't really expecting 29... Rxf7 but I was planning on an exchange sac but then after his move that seemed me inadequate.
My move 30 was a carried away one it shoulda been 30 gxh6. I thought that with my move he would move his queen away and then my move would be 31. Be6.
From then on my game just fell apart and was lost. I just have one doubt: How was the position on move 29? Who was winning or losing. I had a material deficit but the black king was really squeesed up and the black pieces didn't seem to be doing much. Apart from a very good defensive job.

Originally posted by wittywonkaThanks! That was the standard four pawn atack at the KID. ANd that's what I do everytime someone throws the KID at me. We'll have a rematch as soon as Daemon's game load drops.

Originally posted by adam warlockI think the f5 pawn should have been taken on move 13. Either he takes back with the rook and you get to play Bg4 and then Be6 (great square for it) or he takes back with the pawn and has a much weakened king-side with four of your pieces within striking distance. On move 30, gxh5 gains a pawn through:

30...Nxh6
31. Re1xe7 or Rf7xe7
but I'm confident he can defend against any mating threat. Lastly:
33. Re7...forces a rook trade and lets the queen gobble up many of the queen-side pawns, possibly enough to make the game quite interesting.

20...Bxf6 you knight is now hanging.
And finally:
23. Qh6 Bxe1 24. fxg6 Rxf1+ 25. Kxf1 Nf6 26. Kxe1 Qd8 27. g4 Qf8
25...Nf8 is a great move also.
And Black is winning.
