This already looks very winnable for Anand. Pieces are active and Topo is in a pure defensive mode. He should be able to create enough weaknesses to keep Topo off-balance.

Blackout in the Military club! The press conference room is dark and the Mundell press conference stopped. At the same time the official site live commentary stopped for the same reason. News from the scene in 1 minute!

Crazy! I wonder what the rules state for a situation like this.

This power problem must be a major advantage for Anand. Topalov being on home ground must feel partly responsible for any local blunders. At least worrying about the reaction from the chess press. only a slight distraction is major disadvantage.

Also wonder what FIDE's contingency plan is for such situations. I could not find anything in their official regulations for this event.
