as someone fairly new to the game, i've been looking over various games (classic matches & some tournament games here) and the trouble i have is the game ends, and i can't see why! i know this flaw must irritate some of my opponents, since clearly i can't always see when a game is lost. but here's a sample, just a random game from a current tournament, white resigns, when to me it looks as though there still some life in the game - i would have lamely played on. i know this is just one game, but maybe any of your comments might help me when studying other games in the future.
thanks for any help!

with Gm's they resign sometimes when they are lost even though material is even.
