On the 12th of May this year GM Jan Timman gave a simul in which I participated. The following diagram is from that game. Timman has the white pieces.

Diagram 1, Black to move

Here after 25. g2-g4 black played ...Rc8-c2.
What followed was 26. Nb5-a3... Rc2-d2 27.Rf1-c1...f7-f5 28. Na3-c4 (Diagram 2)...Rd2-c2? 29. g4xh5... e6-e5 30. Rc1xc2 ... Re2xc2 1-0

I've analysed but I'm just not sure, so I've got two questions for you

1) Was 25...Rc8-c2 in Diagram 1 a mistake?
2) After 28. Na3-c4 (Diagram2) would it have made any difference if I kept my head cool and played the logical 28...Rd2xd4 or was black dead meat anyway?

The result of the simul was + 38 = 2 - 0

If you want to comment (or just view) the entire game.
