all your games have a three day timeout, so you do not need to get games waiting to 0 every day. just play what you can each time, the games will slowly go.
also - when you know you are losing against a higher rated opponent resign a little earlier than you normally would.
next time note the "group size" of the tournament, this says how many games it will give you at a time.
good luck, and try to enjoy the action :-)
What I like to do is split them up into smaller batches... say 10 or 15 games. Do a little bit of mental warmup (tactics, or whatever floats yer boat) and then delve into them for however long it takes. Then take a break, come back later and repeat.
Definitely don't get trapped into moving more quickly than you have to... it can be tempting when someone fires a move right back at you to jump to that board and get into the semi-live action. With a large # of games, it takes a smidgen of discipline.
Trying to move through 60 games in one sitting is probably cake for someone with more ability... but I'd likely hemmorhage.
I'm right with you in the new server tourney. What's been working for me is to concentrate on the games with the faster movers. Doing this and moving in the other games atleast once every three days, I will reduce the number of games soon to a more manageable amount. El Freako's got the right idea. Don't feel pressured, just be mindful. It can be tough, but hang in there. You'll emerge a better player for it all. 😉
