Clifflandin -

You won both your games. Therefore your opponent sasquatch672 made himself look like a whiny, sore loser as well as an incompetent player. A win is a win, period.

I'll give some analysis for your games:

Game 895513

5. Ng5 wasn't a great move. White moved a piece twice before finishing the five critical development moves without a good reason. Those five moves by the way are to get both Knights and both Bishops off the back rank and to castle. This wasn't a horrible move though. White was punished for this move by 7...h6, causing him to lose tempo (do you know what this means?).

6...Rf7 was kind of bad I think. Black should have castled instead.

I don't like 8...Ng4. It doesn't accomplish anything really. It also takes away Black's pressure on d5. Black should be working on developing his light B and castling Queenside.

I'm not sure 9...Qd8 was a good idea. This slows down Black's development. 9...Qd6 might have been better.

Black's exchange on moves 11 and 12 seem kind of pointless. I guess it's an aggressive attempt to get the initiative and attack your King. He wasn't ready for this yet though. When he tried to continue this attack with 13...f5 White very skillfully showed him the error of his ways with 14. Qh5+.

15...g6 was also a bad move, and White punished him for it quite well. 16...d6 might have been better, freeing the Bishop, threatening to exchange off one of the attacking pieces (a standard defensive strategy) and getting the King one step closer to castling to safety. It also would have solidified the e5 Pawn's position.

I'm not sure how I feel about 17...Qf6 or 18. Qg8+. I would have to put in a lot of effort to study them and the alternatives to make a good decision and I am too lazy to bother. I like how White is following the principle of holding the tension instead of immediately taking the first reward that comes his way. This shows a lot of potential for that player to become a pretty good player. 19...Bd7 would have stopped White's plan though I think while making a crucial developing move. This would give up Black's hP but this P is weak and less valuable that the cP which forms part of the King's future castle, and it develops the Bishop. There's a lot going on here. White's threat of Ng7+ is a big one. This position is too complex for me to bother analyzing right now.

20...Nb4 was pretty useless I think. 20...Bxf5 followed by 21...Rd1 probably would have been better. 20...Rf6 setting up for ...Qh4+ has a little potential too.

21...Rf8 was obviously bad. 21...Qxf6 was required here.

22...a5 was also bad. Black needs to develop his Bishop! Again, 22...Bxf5 would have been good. 23...0-0-0 could have followed, or 23...Rb7 or 23...Qh4+.

23. Nd6+ might have been a better move than the one played.

Overall White utterly outplayed Black. If he was talking down to you he is a pathetic fool and a jerk. Maybe he was talking about the other game.

Game 895514

3. Bd3 is a nonstandard move. It's passive and limits White's ability to occupy the center with his d Pawn. It's a slightly bad move I think, but not awful.

5. h3 is not necessary and wastes tempo.

I don't think 6...Nh5 was a good move. It doesn't accomplish much. It looks like Black wants to push ...f5, which might have been good. I'm not sure.

7...Qf6 doesn't seem great. It's nice and aggressive but I think White has too solid a position for the attack to go anywhere.

I don't really like 8. Bc4. White needs to develop his other Bishop.

10. g4 is obviously bad. 10. Bxf4 would be my choice, exchanging off an attacking piece, preventing the mate, keeping the King's castle more solid, developing a piece with tempo, removing an enemy center Pawn, and doubling Pawns. It opens a file for the enemy but that file hits a rock solid Pawn.

13. Nh4 accomplishes nothing except putting a Knight on the rim, which is not a good idea. That Knight needed to come back on move 14. White punished Black for that mistake by taking the Knight on his move 14.

15...Ne3+ might have been a good idea.

16...Qe6 immediately sets off an alarm in my head. The Queen is in line with the enemy Bishop. If White moves his d5 Knight, the Queen comes under attack. Black also set up a fork for himself at the same time, and White saw it and punished Black for this mistake. However Black skillfully saw the way out of this predicament. I almost wonder if Black set up the whole fork/discovered attack to get White's Knight away from his King.

18. Kf2 was a colossal mistake, because of 18...Nxc4+, winning the Queen. Fortunately for White Black missed this combination too.

19...d6 looks good. The Bishop will get developed and another piece will get added to the assault on the enemy King at the same time.

I believe 22...Qd6+ leads to a forced mate. I will let you figure out how. While the played move was devestating as well, I don't think it leads to a forced mate.

Wow, thank you very much. I've never had a game analyzed like that. It took a little time to understand everything you were saying, but I think I got it.

Thanks again.

Who would have the temerity to say you're a bad player? We're all "bad players" compared to someone else. I wager your opponent is a "bad player" when he plays a better one. Then that particular player could point out all the flaws in his moves. I don't care who I played, I'd never make a remark like that. I might suggest not to move your queen a ...[text shortened]... to etiquette or ethics of play. And if he makes those remarks during a game, so much the worse.
Yeha u are rigth but also, players when they are wining make cruel comments too

At least if you talk smack about games you win you don't look like an idiot. A jerk, but not an idiot.

I was pretty surprised that he said anything about my game. Most of the comments that people have made to me during games are along the lines of "Good morning" or "Nice move" or "Almost had me" or something like that.

I would cherish this win above all other wins.
The guy called you a bad player then you whooped him.

I dub this game "The Karma Box Game".

Good win!

I have been accused by my opponent of being a bad player, an accusation that I admit is true. He said that I was just pushing my queen around and that I telegraph everything I do. While I'm sure this is true also, if I were to win would it be less of a win because I didn't follow a script out of a book? Or is a win a win, no matter how you get there. ...[text shortened]... of the truly good players that I have played have been able to handle my inept play with ease.
Unfortunately, whoever wins usually makes all kinds of claims. How can you dispute them since they won? Just look at how History is written - whoever won the war was the hero. Look at the massive attack by the United States against Iraq. Again, because the U.S. will win this war, they will write history books depicting them as heros bring democracy to the citizens of Iraq. But we all know (or I should say MOST of us know) that the real reason for the war is because the Bush administration wanted to seize power over Iraq to control the oil.
