In the spirit of the holiday, I was hoping if anyone could provide analysis of the halloween attack, a little wrinkle of the four knights game. i believe it goes like this...

1. e4 e5
2. Nf3 Nc6
3. Nc3 Nf6
4. Nxe5 Nxe5
5. d4

I'm not a huge fan of it, and I don't know anyone who is. Many do play it however because they like the name, but that's about it.

My attempt clearly failed. When I clicked on this post, I thought it read something about the Halloween Attack, so just stop. This is a chess forum. Argue this trash out through PM's.

Just don't comment on it yet, as it's in progress.

EDIT: That was a short game...

what's wrong with ...Nxc3? followed by Qxg7 and Rf8?

that would be rf8 followed by bg5 forcing f6 and then bxf6 and then black is forced to sac his rook for the bishop to keep his queen on the bord and above that white gets a nasty passed pawn on f6
