A hard-fought draw is at least as satisfying as a win. Perhaps even more so.
I don't have any myself, so I dug up this one:
Game 1782263
It hurts to be 61 moves in with an overwhelming advantage and only draw.
Originally posted by bosintangWell, though the game is not up to the mark, I will agree to the point that white had to win that game in the end. Its crazy that u play a game of 61 moves and u still get a draw, especially when white has a great advantage!!!

Yeah, I was hoping some people would post their stalemates or draws that involved more brilliancy than that one.
This one is a bit better:
Game 1715971
The bishop sitting there enprise was just too tempting.
Originally posted by bosintangI wouldn't say these are brilliancies but, rather, stupidities in how to lose a won game.

we decided on a draw quite early in this game but was there any way either of us could gain an advantage?
Game 1684873
Game 1644929
I knew this opponent was stupid enough and thus I continued to play on as I knew I had a chance of stalemate.
What this guy replied me after the game is:
'You are a loser, you knew you had lost the game still you drew it'. I explained this guy what stalemate is then...and let him know that he is a loser and he didn't deserve to play chess if he didn't knew the rules and on top he used to call other people losers...

Not sure I'd take much pride getting draw there. Still, each to his own and what he said after makes me glad you did get draw.
Mind me asking - was there bit of aggro between ye during game?
Originally posted by GalaxyShieldWell done. If I was Black I would have gratefully accepted draw here cos White has advantage IMHO.
This was one of my best games here against a player much better than myself. Game 853152
Game 1440168
and
Game 1401258
The second game I played horribly (Not that I always do)
and managed to walk into a skewer, losing a rook.
I was quite relieved when he played Kd8 and allowed my eternal check.
Originally posted by malingaYes thats correct, he missed so many checkmate chances..
