For each, throw a book out there for a 1500+ rated player:
Recommend a book that serves as a COURSE to improving endgame, or Recommend a book that serves as a COURSE to improve attacking and mid-game.
Recommend a book that has PUZZLES / tactics in it.
Recommend the book AND/OR the PRACTICE that has helped you the MOST (1500+ rating)
Here are some I've come across and am strongly considering...provide reviews if you've read them:
Silman's Endgame Course
Art of Attack in Chess by Vukovic.
I went through Silman's book (only chapters for 1800- rated players). I worked on endgames with that book for a month and it was very rapid improvement. That book is easy to read and funny instead of being dry. In addition to that, it sorts the material in rating divided chapters and the author advises that you learn what you need to learn for your current level and then stop so you can know what important for you more at the certain point of your chess improvement and what is a little less important to learn right away.
I didn't have the time to work on endgames for more than a month and latter I've become obsessed with tactics, but I think this move is written fantastic !
