Simple. It's a pawn with the hue of that portion of the visible spectrum lying between yellow and blue, evoked in the human observer by radiant energy with wavelengths of approximately 490 to 570 nanometers.

    Next question?

Thank you! I'm looking for an iPhone app that will have tactical puzzles on it. This should be a huge help as my chess rating is progressing very slowly, and I can't seem to force myself to train up on tactics regularly.

I just assumed you were having some fun with greenpawn34's avatar. If it has any chess-related meaning, I'm not aware of it.

Green pawn sort of reminds me of the poisonos pawn veriation, I think it's something in the sicilian defence, not sure though.

It is the result of when someone who is wanting to join a ches site
is suddenly confronted with an empty box.

    "Choose a Nickname."

    And their mind goes blank.

I support Hibs (green) I play chess (pawn) the number on my front door is 34.

If I was a Man.U supporter who plays Scrabble and lived in a hotel....

I'd be Red Tile Room 116

In the world of Batman, the Joker (who has green hair) has a counterpart in an alternate universe.

He his known as The Red Hood, and he is a hero instead of a villian.

    Hmmmmmmmm....

And I mistakenly believed the reference derived from Dylan Thomas' "the force that through

the green fuse drives the flower" (since each pawn carries a potential crown in its knapsack).
