    Heres some defending by the computer, ke8 might be ok...

    -5.4

    Trouble with having one thats too good! have found a new feature if I press enter in the opening after it makes a move it will play a different one - scroll through its opening book ...

    I looked over this with a little help from a German friend.

    "Vat does eet do?", he sniggered when I tried 12.e5 and he kicked it with ...d6. Indeed, after 13.Nf3 Rg4 14.Qh6 Bf8! I was in a whole world of pain.

    Interestingly, he only likes ...Kf8 a small bit better than ...Ke8. He uncorked a novelty on move 9:

    Indeed, after 10.g4 he informed me that he was headed back to e8 with the K now that he'd side-stepped the Qh5+ line. Even after the alternative 10.Nd3 he was able to cold-bloodedly defend.

    ke8 looks fine now - i suspect the entire line is hopeless but if the computer plays kf8 its sharp - whites pawns cause trouble. To be honest i probably would not use it, but that reti trick i like as its harder to defend - this line theres a small number of search trees.

    Here's some sharp defence against a knight sacrifice;

    Move 10 wins the game from what I can see and black was in trouble without Ng6xe5 but with it they're a pawn up whilst mine are wrecked, gg! 🙂 can you keep the knight though??

    Yes, I believe black can keep the knight.

    I'm not sure, white is going to play 11 B-a3

    I get some good victories on here with that line - even though its rubbish, there's a few good counters to it...

    11. Ba3 doesn't look all that good, because 11.e6 blocks the bishop attack on the queen, opens up a line for Black's bishop, and renews the attack on White's pinned e-pawn.
