Highest graded British player

I was looking down the list of top players on this site and found one outside of the top fifty who has an ECF grade which is over 200! That's higher than both Northern Lad and David Tebb, the only other two strong British players I know of on this site. Are there are any other players here with a grade approaching or exceeding 200?

No, my ECF is nowhere near 200 .. but sort of relating to this, I was thinking it would be interesting to gather some data points relating ECF to RHP grades. I can go first -

It seems you are omitting Altern8/sealion/PAWN RIOT/atticus2/Adrian Waldock/rjwc22, I have no idea who they are and not sure if they are anywhere near 200, ask them...!

Yes, that's true. Age & playing in events I've organised have taken their toll on me in recent years, not to mention QPFs in league matches. I used to be 190 ish a decade or so back (c. 2200), 200+ for a while (2250), but higher at CC (c. 2350) further back. I regard my RHP rating as 'too high' for my current play altho this is the only CC-style chess I've played in a decade. I benchmark myself against DT & NL, both of whom are members of my club/league, and both of whom are stronger than me OTB these days. At their age though, I was about the same standard OTB

I guess one thing we'll learn from this is how seriously people take online chess! I play regularly on another site and many people with very similar ECF grades have quite different online grades (mostly due to time constraints it seems)...

i believe User 69056 is above 200, though it could be a case of mistaken identity

I don't play on here anymore, but for what it's worth my rating here is 2145 and my ECF grade is 179 (173 last year - inflation didn't affect grades above 160 so much!).

I only play a few games a year OTB so I don't think the rating is properly up to date...with more RHP games under my belt I think the RHP grade better reflects my playing strength/weakness!

Was 170 a few years ago - I prefer my USCF rating of around 2220 (from 18 games, so still provisional sadly) - believe that allows me to call myself 'Master'!

Suprised at the range of the players above 2000, to be honest, though I feel most OTB players regard their ECF / Fide whatever as their 'true' strength, so unlikely to need to compensate with a huge RHP rating.

Why don't you ECF guys do the FIDE conversation.
These 3 digit numbers mean nothing to most of us.

Apparently. So an ECF of 200 would be 2250.

RHP grade about 1600ish when I haven't resigned a tonne of games.
