Could be, thought it was one move each and the game is on. Even so, don't you get dropped after a certain time inactive? It may be he is in hospital, recovering or something, he mentioned he can't play active OTB because of medical condition.

you drop after 100 + days not moved, if I remember correctly (happened to me)

You have what ever rating you have when you get back. If you finished all of your games before you left then you would have that exact same rating when you get back.
