Not hard to believe since you can't even write it correctly.

Giuoco Piano - think it is pronounced gee-oo-oh-co pee-ann-oh.

Correct me if I am wrong though.

Pretty close, impossible to reproduce the sound by writing however.

For the record "giuoco piano" means "(I) play slow".

I thought it meant "quiet game." Perhaps, something is lost in translation from Italian to English. Slow and quiet seem quite different.

Yes,also quiet is correct.
Piano means both slow or quiet, depends in which context you put it.

"JOKE-o Pee-AH-no". I heard some club players talking about some openings and when a beginner started when Geeyoukou--, they lashed at him, "it's Joke-o, you fool!" But maybe they're wrong so...

Maybe that has something to do with the fact that a piano is a percussion instrument? uhhh... duhhh! HAHA! CHess is music, too! Shazam! hehe Oh, and the quiet pedal on most pianos! It all fits!

It's not really quiet... pretty lively if we go with the Evans Gambit. But the Giuco Pianissimo is hell to play...
