    where did i go wrong!
    I think it was move 12 when you lost a piece. Against a GM, the game was resignable at that point.

    yep a few moves before move 12.
    You allowed your knight to be pinned to your king, and thus ended up having to trade it in for 2 pawns.

    Qf3 is not so good, better is 0-0.

    Qxd5 is a mistake, there is all I have to see.

    Even I would win if you play a move like that.

    without a doubt it was a losing battle!

    but i held on to the hope of a mouse slip or some other miracle , against a gm...resigning is not an option...a gm would make for the most glorious trophy on my wall 😀

    but the final position is not mate so you must have resigned? admittedly when a draw was the best even theoretical result.
