A crap game, and suddenly... My opponent surrenderd?

Why?

Am I missing anything?

He seems to have done that in all his games if you look at his profile.

He says he has retired now that his subscription has run out.

I dont see anything, looks pretty even to me, don't see any mates or huge material gains, maybe he just didn't want to play anymore?

Wow, he must have been playing a lot of games when he quit. His rating dropped from 1400 to 700..!

edit: er, make that 900, but still...

I would do that if i promesed my girlfriend/wife I would quit as soon as my suscription runs over:'(

(not saying that the player in question had the similar situation)

I think its a forced resign as he is no longer subscribed.

If you stop your subscription you are still allowed to complete any games you have in progress. You just won't be able to start any new ones until your "in progress" total gets below 6.
