    Hi Vandervelde,

Speaking of strong players memories: Fischer strong player and good memory.

When he was putting forward his case for Fischer chess he said:

"Chess is no good and hasn't been a good game objectively for a 150 years since all
this theory developed. It was a good game maybe 200 years ago in the time of uh, uhm,
of a uhm, no, who's that guy who did... who who who learn... developed the pawns
theory... what's his name... the Frenchman."

You made it up (as you do in your posts on chessgames.com as Sally) and thereby again desecrated Fischer's legend. he never said that (as programmers of Deep Blue never committed suicide either).

    Hi Vandervelve,

Sadly, it's true. .Another site has the transcript of the interview I copied that.

There was also a link. Just seen it, pretty distressing. I did not expect that.

If anyone was in any doubt Fischer had severe problems then look at it.
In my opinion his rants should be ignored because he was quite ill,
it's only because he was who was that people listened.

This clip more than anything shows that this man is very ill.
Just remember he was the man who took chess to another level.

(fast forward to 3:20. and see the Philidor stuff - no idea what comes after that.)
