OTb depends more on instant and continual thought, and also memory and knowledge of openings and endgames etc. CC people who have no opening knowledge dont suffer as much if they use databases etc, so there are a few very obvious things which affect the rating - but a hell of a lot of others too.

maybe that's why I am not as good at OTB...I have about a 1400 rating there, and here almost 1700.
