I recently started playing after a few decades. I'm not doing to good so far. What will be my rating if I lose the the first 5 games?

That depends upon your opponents' ratings when they beat you. The lower their rating is, the lower your rating will be.

I think the first 20 games are averaged. So if you lose your first five games to 2000-rated players, your rating will be 1600.

If you lose your first five games to 1200-rated players, it'll be 800.

That could still be true. Someone could have played as a child, as a beginner. After not playing for 20 or 30 years, that individual would still be a beginner.
