illegal moves

Does anyone know what happens if when playing on Redhotpawn, one player makes an illegal move e.g. not realising he is in Check, moves another piece which doesn't get him out of check?

personally, if I didn't know I would intentionally make an illegal move to see what happens... and if it lets you make that move then you're playing on a crappy site.

Of course, you can't do that here and thats why this is a good site!

Happened to me on a few occasions, I move a piece that is blocking a check, and like they said, the move is 'highlighted in red' and is not allowed. I know I know I need to pay more attention.
