Im friggen 1-5 on UChess

why are the players there that much better then at other sites?

God I miss yahoo chess

lol. last time I played there about everyone sucked. Then when I hit ~1800 rating and actually made it to top 20 or something everyone was like "what the hell?" and "are you master or something?" that was pretty sick bit im over it.

I'm not a big fan of blitz chess to begin with, but when I did play on uchess it was mainly full of 1 min games which tested people's mouse clicking ability more than their chess playing.

Well I tried yahoo chess once... Its more of the "dating while playing" type of thing.

I went there hoping to play some chess and ppl just kept chatting about how they wanna date eachother, the interface and everything is awkward too, to me its a joke but allot of people love the site, so it must be decent.

I prefer playchess above all though, very nice chart on your rating, nice interface, great functions and great players.

Though playchess is a bit expensive.

I will contribute to that thread also.

The new GUI keeps crashing on my computer. A shame because I liked the auto-matchmaking feature. When I did manage to get a game going I didn't notice much immature behavior ingame. The waiting area is another story.

it will kick you off of games, sometimes at inopportune moments (one time i was dragging a queen to deliver checkmate, and the server killed the game and I don't know if I got a win, loss, or draw...
it didn't say the other guy resigned, so I don't know)
on there, I am getstuffed, and i play when i think I might get lucky and get to finish a game, better yet, I get on when I think i might get lucky enough to actually start a game:

i hate that site, but I love one of the players there, so i try occassionally...
RHP is a butt-load better
your game can actually improve on CC as opposed to blitz as another plus for this site...
