I would buy the new DVD chessbase format books but I have the books that they cover already and I would hate to buy them twice.

I also like lecturebot on FICS and the audio lectures on playchess

If you use Babaschess with the BabasChess talk addon you can listen to the lecturebot instead of reading.

Pro Chess by Seriwan,

The roman dvd's.

I borrowed these form our club so i'm not sure if they were worth the $.

If I had to pay for them, maybe my opinion would be different about them.

What are you trying to learn?

Endings, tactics, middlegame?

You might want to check out the polgar dvds. I never seen them but I heard they are for 1200-1900 or something like that.

Pro chess is also good by Seriwan.

Edit - Tactics lots on line. Check my 1400 and 1600 threads for the links. Lots of good links there if you haven't checked out those threads yet.

Check page 6-10 in the chess forum. or you can search for my name and need help getting to 1400 and 1600.

They should pop up.

Page 2 for the 1400 thread, read that and the 1600 all of it.

K I bumped 3 of them to the main page.

They aren't dvd links, chess website links with tactics, middlegame etc..
