1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4 Nf6 4. 0-0!? Nxe4 5. Nc3 Nxc3 6. dxc3
1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4 Nf6 4. 0-0!? Nxe4 5. Nc3 Nxc3 6. dxc3
I came up with this the other day. The main continuation seems to be:
6... Be7 7. Qd5 0-0 8. Nxe5 Nxe5 9. Qxd5
What do you think?

black can try to hold on to the pawn with 6. ..f6!? which is risky. White gets some but not full compensation for the pawn.
Your main continuation (and the game) leads to a dry, equal position.

This is the Boden-Kieseritzky Gambit (transposed).
I tried your line against
User 134401.
It didn't exactly work out too well, but I managed to salvage a draw at least.
