Just finished a game in which I gave up an exchange + another rook, hoping I could get mate. Turned out in my favor. But, was it sound? I'm too lazy to take a look at it right now. 😛

Can you give us the correct PGN?

I can't get it fixed because the first move is missing. This was very spread out, so I don't remember the moves that are missing.
Edit: Actually, it looks like the whole game is there, except for the first move, 1. d4. If you just remember that pawn isn't there (it keeps coming back as you go through the game), everything else seems to be in place, or at the very least, doesn't seem to effect the main parts of the game.

Originally posted by GalaxyShieldto me it looks like Bxf2, Bxf2, e3 and black kinda wins with an unstoppable mate threat...
Would the my real chances have changed had I play Bxf2 before playing e3?
EDIT: actually probably not mate threat but it looks like you get a rather winning attack
EDIT2:
1... Bxf2
2. Bxf2 e3
3. Kg1 (otherwise Qxf2 mate) Qxf2+
4. Kh1 f3 (threatening Qg2# as well as Qh4#. white can't stop both
only other move is 3. Rd2
3. Rd2 exd2
4. Qxd6 Nd3 (threatening mate on f2 as well as queening the pawn on d1
5. Qd4 d1=Q+
6. Rxd1 Qxd1+
7. Kg2 Qxg4+
and black is now a pawn up as well as having a massive attack on white's king with f,g and h pawns unopposed to storm down on the already vulnerable king
in other words, total pwnage

and Now,
3.Qf5ch g6
4.Qc2
and I still can't see a clear win for black in the complications, although black can draw through some perp.
