I think SeaDevil will take over the #1 spot soon. He's got 174 games on the go at the moment and has played an astonishing 532 moves so far this month. Even if he only gains an average of half a rating point from each of those games, he should easily reach 2500 before long.

This problem will only get worse as his rating increases, so I really don't see him ever reaching 2500, at least not as long as there are so few players at his level on the site.
