is it cheating if in a game on RHP you...

you use a chess board and play through possible variations of the position rather than working them out in your head? I've not done this but wondered if this would be considered cheating?

The use of Databases and books are allowed as well. Though some prefer not to use them.

Only prohibited aids are Chess Engines such as Fritz or Chessmaster etc. Or other players of course. 😉

Chessnut, I have three chess boards set up in my office against very strong opponents.This is not considered cheating, it is considered good planning. I have never had one set up for you though.😀
