Is Kasparov still in politics?

I read awhile back Gary Kasparov retired from chess to enter politics in Russia. Is this still the case? Is Kasparov having any success in the political arena?

he had huge support from the people and could've made it to president. then putin threatened his family if he'd continue, so kasparov moved the family out of russia and retired from politics.
