I've never seen anyone playing or accepting my games in the third time I have checked the site. I have been at chess.com for a while and it is loaded with games 24/7. Is RHP dying?

It was never ready for prime-time.

Think of RHP as a turn-based chess site.

i still play on there and have played a few players on there

but rhp is more turn based

It has never been a high priority for the developers.

It shut down for a time and lost what little following it had. Over time, it may rebound. But I'm not holding my breath, especially with superior options available for free.

I suspect that if there were tournament options, where people could sign on at a preset time, knowing there would be players and action, it would gain quickly in popularity. Just a guess.

I should add- if you have a friend that you want to play online in real time in a very simple format, it's an easy option. The games don't have to be "blitz".

I went to RHP blitz and I saw two players, Sonhouse and Null.
