Yes at the great Linares tourney Kasparov drops a full point in the 2nd Round.

Ok Dave! Ready when you are! Radjabov played a nice little knight sac on Kaspy, but he didn't accept! Apparently people are scared of him! Leko turned one down in the first game too!

Good game! French is a tough nut to crack! That's why I play c4 or Nf3 now! Hehe!

Could someone who has more of a grip on these things than I explain why white didn't just take the knight on move 22?

If someone understands
1- Why not 22.dxN or 22.BxN ?
or
2- Why not 29.QxB or hxB ?
please explain.

By play 1.e4 you allow the opponent to play 1..e6 which is the French....white does best by playing 2.d4 and black replies 2...d5 counterattacking....it has a reputation for being solid and hard to beat so I now play 1.c4 or 1.Nf3 which better suit my style of play and also avoids the French! Got me? Glad I could help! Sorry for not being specific enough.....
