Last year at the book store I saw several volumes, jacketed in bright red, of commentary on historically-important games. The name Kasparov was prominent on the jacket. The volumes weren't cheap, and I have delayed on the decision whether to buy.
Does anybody here have them? What do you think about them?
I just looked at Amazon, where the price is better than what I remember at the book store. But the reviews seem lukewarm. Errors in analysis and ghost-writing are claimed.

If you're referring to Kasparov's "My Great Predecessors," they are excellent books. I have volumes I, III, IV. I'm sure there are inaccuracies and prejudices in them, but it doesn't detract from their erudition, depth. In fact, as a historical record of chess, I don't think there's anything like the 4 volumes. There likely will be more, since these were a big success (chessically speaking).
