Joined 21 Sep '05 Moves 3051 I am wondering if the KID is a good defense against the KIA. Other defenses that might be better?

I am wondering if the KID is a good defense against the KIA. Other defenses that might be better? Technically, KID requires White to play 1. d4, so it cannot be played in response to the KIA. However the setup should be ok vs KIA.

Sorry, I said it wrong...
What I meant experienced players like myself can play succesfully KID against almost all white d4 openings. Onthe other hand Pirc, which is in many ways similar to KID, can be played against almost all e4 openings..
Joined 21 Sep '05 Moves 3051 OK, how does the KID -- or more accurately, Nf6, g6, Bg7 -- stand up against the English opening? Thanks.
