Playing 5 minutes games against fritz 1680, using it's damn opening book, got into a king and queen vs king endgame only for the thing to stalemate me with it having the queen!

That's a shame, use an increment next time. Much funner and it avoids such situations.

You need to reinstall the program, and specify the correct path for tablebases.
