I don't really know the opening as well as I should (considering I use it). I do know that one of my biggest problems as Black is lack of space and difficulty developing.
The King's Indian Attack is when White uses the same arrangement of Pawns and Pieces as he would if he were Black and playing the King's Indian Defense.

If the center is locked then black must counter-attack on the opposite wing and the game is a sharp struggle where every tempo matters
