Chess blogs are not overrun with spammers and trolls, but there's precious little of merit in the chess forums of most sites.

I started blogging at chess.com and gave up because my posts would not load. The problems with blogging services--wordpress, blogger, etc.--have been minor.

Bill Wall puts up a lot of stuff, but fails to cite sources. A large portion of his "information" proves false. Sometimes ignorance is preferable to misinformation.

As Mark Twain stated, it ain't what they don't know, but what they know that ain't so.

It seems that cludi has taken an intrest in this blog as well, even linking it to his own page:

Is there an 'article' forum here for writers? I'd be happy to write for this site too if it's possible.[/b]

C'mon Korch. 1:35 AM is just the start of the day.
(I have work tomorrow at 8 AM and have one deadline to meet before dawn - a piece of cake)

Two cups of coffe and away you go.

Make your first post an analyse of one of Jie's games 🙂

That is an excellent article by Street Fighter.
Thanks diskamyl for reminding me about it.

He writes like he plays - no prisoners, but I think he should have
named the guy so I can look out for the limp handshake.

(don't you just hate that - it's like touching a dead fish).

I cannot wait to cheapo him from a lost position.

When faced with such a confrontation, I always shrug and agree
I was lucky. (and the next time I'll be even luckier ).

I never thought about disagreeing with the guy and making an article about it.
Cheers SF.

That is quite amusing, I played a game earlier in the year against a similar opponent who forced me to keep analysing for about two hours, being beaten time after time, until I eventually made a mistake which allowed him an advantage and he then proceeded to tell his team mates how that was the ONLY possible way the game could have gone and I had been lucky to win.
Needless to say, I had the last laugh when I pointed out that I had the win so nobody would ever know of his brilliancy.

Very Nice 🙂

I played through the main game with some of the annotations.
I will print it out and go over it more slowly next.

Good article Korch and a good choice of game.

There were some great games played at that tournament.

Lasker was indeed the Fighter. The ability to keep the game complicated and make an opponent's path as difficult was Laskers gift.

He was the original 'Swindler' but what a great Chess Player.

Not as an attack, but if you would like a native English speaker to look over these I'm willing to proof you.

(Hose Capablanca was a big one that made the Spanish part of me laugh)
