Ladder Mate...

Anyone ever heard of it? If so an explanation would be most appreciated. I heard it at the last tourney I played in. Apparently a 2000+ rated player lost a game by this method.

I am taking a guess at what it is. The rook-sweeping method, the lawn-mower method and ladder mate are the same thing I BELIEVE. You, know mates where you move rooks or queens, or both, down ranks one at a time with check to slowly cut off the king rank by rank! 😀
