No, don't feel bad, this is one of those Arabian Nights/Sherlock Holmes/Retrograde type puzzlers. The White Rook is actually a Black Bishop assassin who got to that square via e8 and will now check on g4. 🙄

some of you guys are hilarious, Swiss Gambit was obviously sarcastic, and the point of the thread was to show Chess tutor's uselessness. Or am I the one not detecting the sarcasm in some of the posts?
