West Smethwick Park and one in Thetford have had them damaged due to vandalism, which is a massive shame !! hoping to do some meet ups and we can get some connections going please ;-)

I'm sorry to report this is a universal problem. I've seen this happen a number of times in my area in the US.
JMHO - The best alternative for meet up's is coffeehouse chess. You may have to scope out several places to get permission, but if they see you ordering something once every hour or 2, it usually lowers their resistance. This is also a good solution for rainy days.
