I was just wondering what is your longest on going game? I've one that is now over 920 days long - it was a 21/21 tournament game, so to be expected to be a long one, and not a problem. More curiosity.

    Kind regards

Game 8546719 looks like a candidate 1370 days and going strong...
Game 7965047 is quite a bit older 1592 days...

The first game you have there is actually the last game of the longest ongoing tournament: started Nov 17 '05. That's almost 10 years ago! Unfortunately, this particular game is already round 3, so started only almost 4 years ago. I would think these tourneys are won by however just keeps active long enough.

I looked up the oldest tournaments with 21/21 to find examples 😉

    Crazy! Utter madness 😲

Ten years to finish a tourney? Good grief! I know chess makes us insane. But this is an entire psychiatric ward 😀

"Our families have been a feudin for generations. It started over this here chess game back in eighteen aught eight. Whoever wins the game or kills off the other family wins the feud."

It turns out the Hatfield-McCoy feud was actually not started over someone taking a pig, but taking en passant!
