I noticed about half an hour ago that I haven't really been taking the reasons behind my opponent's moves into account enough before moving myself. It's a bit of an eye opener...

10 minutes!!! Whoa, that seems like a lot. I spend probably spend (in most games) about 1-3 minutes per move. That just me though 😛.

I don't always spend that long, only when im in trouble or i feel the position requires a lot of thought. For a sub 1400 player wanting to get over 1500 it's essential though 😉
