Why does no-one play sicillian's on here I love playing the dragon and would like to know why no-one gives me a chance to play it! I would also be interested to know what lines anyone else is interested in playing or has played a good game with.

I play Sicilian occasionally and if I am ever daft enough to play 1. e4 (it happens sometimes) you can play Sicilian against me.

Only if you're mad enough? Don't you ever play king pawn openings like the ruy lopez and even one of my other personal favourites the kings gambit?

Lots of the players on page 1 like those sharp games if you give them the chance.

Have a hunt through my games list too, I play the dragon quite often and get some good games with it most of the time. The last dragon game I remember losing was against cludi who is a strong player.

There's only one reason, they're afraid. 😛

Of course they are because they have to play perfectly(which they are not going to do) and if they don't white can win without perfect play. I score super high against the Naj but only moderately high against the dragon.

I think he was talking about the Black side. But in any case, you exaggerate the issue. Black can do quite well without perfect play. Even against super sharp aggressive moves like 6. Bg5 in the Najdorf, Black has many moves that hold up to scrutiny very well. This includes: Qc7, Qb6, Nbd7, and Be7.

I'm glad you score well against the Najdorf. Is this because you face it more frequently? Maybe we can play because I'm just learning it and want to see how the tougher variations are.

I normally use the Indian Systems.

Indians are especiallys strong, if the game starts with e4 e5 I usually set up a kings indian attack because it works against many systems and is very solid and difficult to break down.

Also reffering back to the sicillian does anyone have any good lines against the richter-rauzer after move 7? Because I usually will play this line as black Sicilian, Richter-Rauzer (B62)
1 e4 c5 2 Nf3 d6 3 d4 cxd4 4 Nxd4 Nf6 5 Nc3 Nc6 6 Bg5 e6
but am lost after I play e6

You could always play Qb6 instead. It is equally playable.

Ah good point I never usually entertain the possibility of moving my queen so early in the game but i can see why that would work well

I think the accelerated dragon gives better chances for black
1.e4 c5
2.Nf3 g6(this is the hyper accelerated move order, but the regular move order is 2...nc6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 g6)
3.d4 cxd4
4.Nxd4 Nc6

One of the dumber statements I've heard in a while. 5. c4! +=, with almost no winning chances for black.

Actually, I think White often gets a favorable endgame that could with a few errors, could give him the point. I think you meant for Black, in which case I agree that it's challenging.
