I have an autographed and dedicated copy.

It reads:

Hi Alec,

Hope you enjoy my new book and I wish you well in your coming
match against that Cuban upstart.

I beat him with 1.Nf3 and now everyone is calling that opening
after me.

I personally think 1.Nf3 is naff but I keep winning with it
so what do I care?

Yours.

For the return match with Euwe, all Reti sent Alekhine was a pamplet to Alcoholics Anonymous.

i dislike it when my opponents play 1.Nf3, it conceals their true intentions!

It usually means they don't know any opening theory.

Make sure the section on Tarrasch.

(go and read it now).

Reti understood the great debt that chess owes that man.

That reminds me. 1.Nf3.

I got that game where I pulled off that combination from a lost
position but I cannot recall which thread we were talking about.

Here it is. It's 4/0 from another site where I'd like to stay anonymous.
You can see it's me, my trade mark move is exf6.

I get to play f5 without weakening my King's postion and I open
the e-file. for my Rook.

Also I always give up my a1 & a8 Rooks for anything that moves.

Although it looks grim and full of blunders they were not over sights.
I intended everything except Qe6 losing a tempo when he played Nc5.
That was a lemon.

I cannot figure out why he checked me with Qb8+ (mouse slip?).
It's best to keep these checks in reserve.

And yes I playing blackmail when he was trying to swap Rooks.
"You are winning - are you sure you want a draw?"

He did not even say "good game." just left.

Hi Mr. Chandler!

I quoted the above section because it mirrors a conversation under another thread entitled "Game I should have lost" where I ...less successfully... applied the same idea about capturing with the e-pawn (but as White in a King's Indian Attack) based on a recommendation I read from Karpov. I was playing Bird's.

I thought you would appreciate having your chess logic compared favorably with a world champion!

Me and Karpov know what we are talking about.
'cept he will do it when the postion demands it.
I do it all the time.

Never with White though, I rarely/never fianchetto my White KB.

Have you noticed the g2 Bishop never has the clout or reputation
as the g7 Bishop.

Had another two exf6's late last night.

I would like to show them but cannot get the PGN thing to work...
They were not all that interesting....
I did not record the games....

OK I lost them both.

I prefer handsome Geoff. It's what everyone else calls me.

I like to play unknown on the other sites I rarely post on their forums
and in some cases never. I just play daft blitz games.

Most 4/0 with Black. I give myself wretched positons, sometimes not
by design and then see if I can swindle the win.

I intended to that here but somehow it slipped out I was close to
getting banned for impersonating me.

I had a couple of emails from friends saying someone was
impersonating me on here and had to prove on here I was me.

This place has the best forums with regulars posters and I've
made and met a few new friends.

I've given up on Uchess. I don't trust it. I get disconnected when
in winning positions. My grade there is 1500 something.
(although a session where I lost about 20 games on the trot one
night 'cos I was drunk did not help). My name there is Beatle.
