How is it bloody possible that a player rated almost 1400 would use Damianos Defense? I'm below 1200 and I know that. Am I really that much of an underachiever? Maybe if I wouldn't try to play chess while distracted and blunder so many damn pieces i'd be higher. ehh..

Doesn't the Damiano call for 3...Qe7? That would have kept black in the game a bit longer.

If Black really intends to 'not fall for the knight sac', he MUST play 3...Qe7, as mentioned earlier. 3...d6?? 4.Qh5+ g6 [avoids mate] 5.Nxg6 is simply another way to lose the h8 Rook.
