I wonder if there are any players out there who have tried this variation before? It has been my experience that in the classical lines of the MLA that with accurate play black can defend and survive the attack. These lines are pretty well known.

The Moderen Variation is not so well known, and black must also play acurately to survive.I started playing it myself, as I was losing games in the regular MLA lines.

It is not very encouraging that the above url illustrates a lost game for white.
Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
