After 1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3.Nd2, is 3...c5 the most ambitious way to play the French? If I had to play like Tal, would this the move to play?

Nf6 can get pretty hairy, you just have to wait a few moves

I like the exchange variation, 1 e4 e6 2d4 d5 3 ed ed 4 c4
Takes it out of the french right now!
Tal certainly enjoyed playing against advanced pawns with midgame tactical tries in the Benoni. Hard to imagine he wouldn't enjoy Classical Nf6 stuff.
But really, I think he'd probably choose to essay ...c5 a couple moves sooner.
