Here is one of my more shameful wins:
My next game will be somewhat better, with a nice win over a 2100.

8.Qe1 h6 {There were a few distractions during this game, and I must have just thought the bishop was on the standard e7 and played ...} 9.Qg3 {??- Any sensible person would resign here, but I say you can't lose a game twice. I usually play until the tricks run out. Believe it or not, the "Lasker approach" does work a lot of the time. Often a player will get ahead on material, relax too much, and toss a perfectly good game (mostly out of anxiety from the opponent not resigning). } Bxg3 10.hxg3 Nc6 11.Be3 Nb4 12.Rad1 Nbd5 {? Why not Nxd3? When ahead trade!} 13.Bd2 Nxc3 14.Bxc3 Nd5 15.Bd2 {When behind, avoid trades!} Bd7 {I have one very slight glimmer of hope. He has played the move h6 (moved a pawn around the castled king). I have a distant dream of prying on the h or g file with g5 and attacking. It's not much, but I'm lost anyway.} 16.Ne5 Ne7 17.g4 {Handy ... prevents Nf5 and prepares g5} Nc6 18.Nf3 Re8 19.g5 {My counterplay lol} hxg5 20.Nxg5 f6 21.Bh7+ {Finally with a threat Kh8 Nf7} Kf8 22.Bg6 {Trying to induce Re7, then Nh7 and I try to rush to the h file with rooks.} Ke7 23.d5 { One idea is exd5 Rfe1+ Ne5 - see game conclusion ... fxg5 Bxg5+ also wins the queen.} Ne5 {? - Black doesn't see it coming.} 24. Bb4+ {and would have mated had black not forfeited by disconnection ... and then logged immediately back in to play someone else ...}
