Seriously,I think 6.Qxd4 would have gained you a pawn with a good position on top of it.So I'd say that's where you went wrong.
Originally posted by PrashantI think it's useful to remember that the only pin that is absolute is one pinning a piece to the king...it was your assumption that the pinned piece could NOT move that got you in trouble...some books use the terms relative pin and absolute pin (piece pinned to king)

Even with an extra piece, the open center files and pawn on f7 make white's position dangerous. Black can probably hang on and eventually let the extra material assert itself, but it is dangerous. There are lots of opportunities to make a mistake. And, besides, with 6...Bxe6, white still has no good move for the knight.
why did black not take the knight with pawn on move 6???????

Its very simple.
Your 6th move is a mistake and the next move is a blunder!
You should work on expecting your opponents replies!
Black's last move was a simple tactical shot...practice Tactics as well...but most importantly CONSIDER YOUR OPPONENTS REPLY (or THREATS) before you make your move.
This game is fit for 'blitz chess' category. A good player wont make such mistakes in Email chess unless you were actually playing 'Email Blitz'!
THINK n ANALYZE...otherwise shift to yahoo for online chess!
