Ravello, it was more likely the name of your opponent distracting you from your game.

Good advice. Take heart, blunders are a part of chess and somewhere, someone has made an even worse blunder. Me for instance. This game is me blundering from move three on to the end, which isn't long in coming. So, if you ever feel like throwing furniture, crying, tearing your hair out etc because you made a mistake, just look here and feel good again, for it could be worse. I believe this is The Worst Blunder Ever Recorded In All The Annals Of The Game Of Chesse.Game 582358

In total agreement with the thread title.Working nights and living in belgium means that I have a hard time scheduling 'live' games with people in the US and people in my own country.So I often end up playing minutes after I woke up,sometimes I even have to cut down on sleep in order to make it to the board.I can testify that it does indeed affect your level of play 🙁

The worst about it is that usually it happens with very lower rated guys..........

Speaking of blue girls, was I the only one here who was ever sexually attracted to Mama Smurf?....... Yeah? Darn. 😞

Ouch. This could be a "Confessions of a Blunderer" thread. I wonder what the psychology of the blunder is? I suppose it's all a lack of concentration, for whatever reason, but they are funny in a way, the slapstick part of chess.

I would post my games with blunders, but I have blundered in just about all of them!

Good God! How did this happen! Okay...I'm just gonna post my own personal analysis on this game:

ECO: C40: Latvian and Elephant Gambits

1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Qf6?!* (last book move) 3. Bb5 c6 4. Bc4 d5 5. exd5 e4 6. Ng1?? hands over the advantage to the opponent [6. Qe2 Ne7 7. Qxe4 Bf5 8. Qe2 ]
6...Bc5 7. Nc3?? solves nothing [7. d4 Bxd4 8. f3 Bxg1 9. Rxg1 exf3]
7...Qxf2++

*I'm saying this move is dubious because the queen was taken out much to early.
